DESCRIPTION

Jolly and Roger's River Ride is a challenging cooperative experience where participants navigate treacherous waters, uncover hidden treasures, and forge a bond between crewmates that can withstand the perils of the pirate life.

GAME OVERVIEW

​CONTRIBUTION

  • Project Management: As the sole designer I led the project’s vision from initial pitch to completion. Coordinated development tasks, facilitated team meetings, and represented the project during Alpha, Beta, and Final Showcase reviews.

  • Game Design: Created the game's original concept, game design document, asset breakdown and kept them updated.

  • Gameplay Design: Designed everything related to gameplay such as the collision feature, boat movement, and pitching new elements.

  • Level Design: Designed everything related to the level such as different obstacles, hitboxes, and blockouts.

  • Technical Design: Translated the game’s mechanics and features into documented technical specifications, and thereafter served as the key point of contact between departments to ensure smooth implementation through their development pipelines.

  • UI Design: Designed the user interface and heads up display.

  • UX Design: Tweaked variables to enhance the game's feel and playability such as river currents, boat movement, and control vibrations.

  • Quality Assurance: Playtested and organized all playtest sessions.

  • Audio Design: Edited and implemented all sound for the game.
